Katya Nuques
Director, Little Village Portfolio
Katya Nuques is the Director of the McCormick Foundation’s Little Village Portfolio. Katya previously served as Enlace’s Executive Director and led the organization through a period of unprecedented growth. Most recently, she has helped steer Enlace to face the incredible challenges of the ongoing pandemic, in which Katya and the organization played a critical role advising Chicago’s Mayor and supporting the city’s response to mitigate COVID-19’s public health and economic impacts.
Katya’s career at Enlace began in 2005 as the Director of Community Schools and, over nearly two decades, she has demonstrated her commitment to the Little Village community, her strategic abilities, and her thoughtful approach to partnership. Prior to joining Enlace, Katya worked in the international development field at the Adventist Development and Relief Agency in Peru. She is a member of the City of Chicago’s Racial Equity Rapid Response Steering Committee, the Latino Policy Forum and its Illinois Latino Agenda, Second Federal Bank Advisory Council, 211`s Advisory Committee, and the Board of Directors of Sinai Health System. She is also a Co-Chair for the citywide planning initiative “We Will Chicago” and a Leadership Greater Chicago fellow.
Katya graduated with honors from the Universidad de Guayaquil with a degree in Economic Science and holds an MSA in International and Community Development from Andrews University.
