Anna Laubach
Director, Public Safety Portfolio and Special Initiatives
Anna Laubach joined The McCormick Foundation in 2008 and is the Director of Special Initiatives and the Public Safety portfolio. In this role, she leads the foundation’s work in the areas of violence reduction, developing a portfolio of projects that address the root causes of gun violence and seek to create safer and more peaceful communities in Chicago.
Prior to joining the foundation, Laubach was a senior program officer at the Illinois Children’s Healthcare Foundation where she worked on projects addressing access to high quality mental health and oral health services for children.
Previously, Laubach was a senior program officer for the McCormick Foundation where she oversaw projects focused on trauma services for children, domestic violence and adult literacy initiatives. She is past chair of the board of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and has served on several committees and advisory groups addressing violence and public safety, mental health and wellness in the city.
Laubach received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan and her bachelor’s degree in history from Rice University.
